Same issue - Code 10 for Ethernet adapter. I downloaded a fresh ISO to a thumb drive and reinstalled 1709 from scratch.

I probably uninstalled/had the update reinstalled more than 10 times.

I uninstalled the Upgrade Assistant it would reinstall and install the update again. I rolled back, gave feedback as to why I was rolling back, but the update still kept being forced on me. I rolled back.Ī few hours later, the update was forced through again. Once again I had a code 10, device cannot start. I kept 1607 up until a few days ago, until MS pushed the update to my machine - I had no choice but to install. Network connectivity was restored all was well again. I figured this was an issue with the feature update being incompatible with my hardware, and just rolled back to 1607. When the Creators Update was first released, I installed it, but after logging in I saw that my onboard Ethernet(Realtek Family GBE Controller) no longer worked - the messaging was that the device cannot start (code 10). Up until the Creators Update/Fall Creators Update, I had no problems at all. I have an older motherboard, an MSI 990FXA-GD80 (MS-7640).

I know this is rather long, but want to be as thorough as possible. AA=Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller LAN Driver 585 for WinXP and Server 2003 (5.71 MB) i am trying to install AA= in Windows XP 64bit which is installed in the Dell inspiron 3847 with 3i intel cpu.

But it says for Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller. They have a driver for windows 10 that came out this year.
